What if you don't have a migraine problem; you have a receiving problem?

What if you don't have a migraine problem; you have a receiving problem?

For the record, this is not against men or women who colluded with men, this is about a movement in culture that occurred and is documented. Also I am choosing to use to word migraines to refer to more than one migraine.. -Lisa Erickson...

Unveiling the Patriarchal Influence on Women, Hysteria, and the Suppression of Feminine Energy: A Deep Dive into Migraines

In the intricate dance of human history, women have often been subject to the stringent and suppressive influences of patriarchal structures. This dominance has manifested in various ways, one of which is the historical labeling of women’s health issues as "hysteria." This term, derived from the Greek word for uterus, 'hystera,' was a catch-all diagnosis used by male physicians to pathologize a wide range of female behaviors and conditions, from emotional distress to physical ailments. Today, we understand that many of these conditions, including migraines, are deeply connected to the energetic and physical suppression of feminine energy.

The Historical Context: Patriarchy and Hysteria

For centuries, women who displayed symptoms that could not be easily explained by the medical knowledge of the time were often diagnosed with hysteria. This diagnosis served as a means to control and diminish the perceived erratic nature of the feminine psyche and body. From a magickal perspective, this can be seen as an attempt to suppress the powerful and intuitive feminine energy that threatens the rigid structure of patriarchal society.

Migraines, a debilitating condition characterized by intense headaches often accompanied by nausea, a disorder of the nervous system, metabolic and electrolyte disfunction with sensitivity to light, and other symptoms, have long been associated with hysteria. Women are more likely to suffer from migraines than men, which further fueled the association between femininity and irrationality in patriarchal thought.

The Energetic Perspective: Suppression of Feminine Energy

From an energetic viewpoint, migraines can be understood as a receiving problem, where the natural flow of feminine energy is obstructed. This obstruction can be traced back to the suppression of the feminine essence in a patriarchal society. When feminine energy is suppressed, it creates a blockage in the energetic system, particularly in the areas associated with intuition, creativity, and emotional expression. For example, if you are woman and a man yells at you....it is scary and it REGISTERS as danger in the feminine nervous system which can get stuck. (If your a man and a woman yells at you I imagine it registers as something else.. lol).

The cerebellum, often referred to as the "Mother Mind" in various mystical traditions, governs somatic consciousness and is deeply connected to the feminine principle. It is the part of the brain that connects us to the collective unconscious, ancestral memory, and deep intuitive wisdom. When this part of the brain is not fully utilized or is suppressed, it can lead to physical manifestations such as migraines.

The Connection to Biomancy and Feminine Reconnection

Biomancy, the art of utilizing the body’s natural intelligence and energy, emphasizes the importance of reconnecting with our innate feminine essence. This reconnection can help alleviate the symptoms of migraines by restoring the natural flow of energy within the body. Practices such as breathwork, movement, and sound healing are integral to biomancy and can help in releasing the suppressed energy, thereby reducing the frequency and intensity of migraines.

The Biomancy Reconnection Mandala, a diagnostic tool, helps in intuitively identifying where one is located on the mandala and where there is a need for extra support. By aligning with the natural cycles of the body and the earth, one can begin to heal the disruptions caused by patriarchal suppression.

Feminine Energy and the Chakras

The root and sacral chakras, associated with grounding and creativity respectively, are crucial for the flow of feminine energy. The suppression of feminine energy often results in blockages in these chakras, which can manifest as physical ailments, including migraines. Grounding practices, such as connecting with Mother Earth and visualizing roots extending into the earth, can help in re-establishing the flow of energy through these chakras.

Conclusion: Embracing Feminine Energy for Healing

The journey towards healing migraines involves acknowledging and dismantling the patriarchal structures that have suppressed feminine energy for centuries. It feels like being stuck in a swamp forever. By embracing practices that restore the flow of this energy, we can begin to heal not just the physical symptoms but also the deeper energetic imbalances. As we reconnect with our intuitive, creative, and emotional selves, we reclaim the power that has been historically denied to us and step into a space of holistic healing and empowerment as well as balanced with the physical and medical support as needed.

By understanding migraines through the lens of energetic, somatic, feeling practices as well, we open up new pathways for healing that honor the sacred feminine and restore balance to our lives
