At age 16 I was diagnosed with "sinus headaches" by a medical doctor and thought that I was crazy because I could hardly bear the pain. At 18 I was appropriately diagnosed with chronic migraine headaches and was given strong medication that masked the symptoms and caused me to be drowsy and often unable to function.
